: Through Law No. 172/22, the French legislator introduced a system for the automatic separation between the personal and professional assets (patrimony) of the sole entrepreneur. This constitutes a fundamental shift in regulating the professional liability of natural persons engaged in independent, self-employed activities. This reform negates the necessity of creating a separate legal entity or undertaking formal procedural steps, all while legally guaranteeing the independence of the professional assets. The resulting effects are comparable to those associated with legal personality under French law. This system is considered a model for reforming the legal framework of sole proprietorship in Algeria, as it embodies a balance between the freedom of enterprise and the protection of private assets. Furthermore, it aligns with global trends aimed at supporting small businesses by reducing the legal and financial risks that entrepreneurs may face.
