Abstract

A significant gap exists between the educational experiences of university students and the practical demands of the labor market. This study investigates the crucial roles of professional counseling and academic orientation in bridging this divide. The primary aim of this paper is to identify and analyze the key factors that influence students' perceptions of their readiness for professional life. A quantitative survey was administered to a sample of 100 university students. Descriptive statistics were employed to analyze the collected data. The statistical analysis confirmed the importance of responsive, skill-focused teaching and personalized guidance. The findings indicate a strong student desire for more practical and career-oriented educational experiences. The results highlight an urgent need for systemic reforms in education. This includes the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), improved teacher training, and the formal establishment of career counseling services within universities. To enhance employability, foster innovation, and promote sustainable development, it is imperative to align academic programs with both student ambitions and the evolving needs of the labor market.
