Abstract
Since the mid-1980s, experimentation in Algerian theater has taken new directions, driven by the emergence of a new generation of young practitioners. These artists have ventured into experimental theater either through quotation, which serves as a window into the literary traditions of other cultures, or through the utilization of folk heritage as a bridge between the past and the present. Their approach involves reworking pre-theatrical traditional forms and transforming them into theatrical frameworks that engage with contemporary themes.
