This study aims to examine frustration in an adolescent addicted to information and communication technologies (ICTs). The results of the administration of the Rosenzweig Frustration Test (P–F Study) revealed a relatively high level of frustration, manifested through behavioral disturbances in the form of emotional reactivity and outward-directed aggression, with E =15. These findings indicate poor adaptation to reality, which may be further reinforced by addiction to social networking sites. Such addiction increases adolescent social isolation and intensifies the experience of frustration, which is likely to be repeatedly experienced when the expected psychological gratification, satisfaction, and recognition are not obtained from online platforms. On the contrary, this lack of validation may deepen feelings of devaluation and mistrust, thereby negatively affecting the adolescent’s mental and psychological health as well as behavioral adjustment.
