Supreme Court Oversight Of Foreign Marriage

Abstract
Foreign or mixed marriage raises numerous legal issues, foremost among them the extent to which it is subject to the Supreme Court’s supervision with regard to the trial judge’s application of the law. Scholarly opinions have diverged on whether the Supreme Court exercises such supervision, depending on how different legal systems perceive foreign law itself—whether it is regarded as a matter of fact or as law.
