Narrative studies have undergone significant developments in their analytical methodologies, shifting from classical approaches that focus on form and content to employing more precise linguistic tools in the study of narrative texts. This research aims to explore the relationship between narrative structure and various linguistic levels (phonetic, morphological, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic) and to analyze how modern narrative transformations influence the linguistic structure of literary texts. The research problem is based on the following questions: How can linguistic levels contribute to the analysis of narrative transformations between tradition and modernity? Can linguistic methodologies help reveal the dynamics of narrative discourse and its impact on the reader? This study adopts a linguistic-narrative approach, combining narrative analysis tools with modern linguistic perspectives such as textual analysis, pragmatics, and applied linguistics. It also includes an applied study of selected Arabic novels that reflect the transition from traditional storytelling to modern experimental narratives. The novelty of this research lies in integrating linguistic tools into narrative analysis, contributing to the development of a more precise analytical framework for understanding literary texts. By linking narrative studies with linguistic levels, this study broadens the scope of narrative research, offering deeper insights into the structure of narrative texts and their formation mechanisms. Additionally, it enhances the applicability of linguistic methodologies in contemporary literary criticism.
