The Role Of Greenpeace In Environmental Protection And The Challenges It Faces

Abstract
Environmental issues have become among the most pressing concerns of the present time, in view of the negative impact resulting from human actions, whether by natural or legal persons. This has made intervention necessary in order to protect and preserve the environment in its various components, following the growing awareness of the right of present and future generations to live in a healthy environment. This has prompted members of the international community, particularly non-governmental organizations, including Greenpeace, which since its establishment has worked to entrench environmental protection and mobilize public opinion around the necessity of safeguarding it. أصبح موضوع البيئة من أهم موضوعات الساعة، بالنظر للأثر السلبي المتولد عن تصرفات الأشخاص بأنواعها الطبيعية والمعنوية، حيث بات من الضروري التدخل من أجل حماية وصيانة البيئة بعناصرها المختلفة، نتيجة ازدياد الوعي بأحقية تمتع الأجيال الحاضرة والمستقبلية بحق العيش في بيئة سليمة، وهو الأمر الذي دفع بأعضاء المجتمع الدولي وخاصة الهيئات غير الحكومية ونذكر منها منظمة السلام الأخضر التي عملت منذ نشأتها على تكريس الحماية للبيئة وتعبئة الرأي العام بضرورة حمايتها.
