This study examines the protection of medical data in the context of digital transformation in healthcare. It highlights growing risks such as data breaches and unauthorized access due to increased reliance on digital systems. The research combines a theoretical review of key concepts, legal frameworks, and security challenges with a practical field study. The empirical part is based on a questionnaire conducted at the Public Community Health Institution of Bordj Menaïel to assess staff awareness and the effectiveness of data protection measures. The study aims to identify gaps between legislation and real-world practices. It ultimately proposes recommendations to strengthen data security, protect patient privacy, and improve institutional performance.
