This study explores the role of Islamic Waqf (endowment) in promoting sustainable development in selected Arab countries, focusing on Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Using an analytical approach and case studies, the research examines Waqf’s contributions to social welfare, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. Findings show that Waqf enhances social solidarity, reduces poverty, supports education and healthcare, stimulates productive investments, preserves capital, and promotes sustainable resource use. Well-managed Waqf institutions can effectively align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting its potential as a multidimensional tool for sustainable development in the Arab world.
