Abstract: The integration of Generative AI (GenAI) within the language services industry necessitates a paradigm shift in translator education. This study proposes a conceptual and operational framework to bridge the gap between traditional pedagogy and the automated market. By prioritizing machine translation literacy and entrepreneurial competencies, the framework equips students to transform technological disruptions into business opportunities. Through a "Translation Start-up Simulation" methodology—applied to specialized maritime contracts—the research highlights the indispensable value of human cultural capital in auditing algorithmic outputs. The findings advocate for the evolution of the "language entrepreneur" as a proactive architect of the digital translation ecosystem.
