الملخص
يتناول هذا البحث إشكالية قراءة التراث في الفكر العربي المعاصر من خلال تحليل مشروع حسين مروة، الذي قدّم مقاربة تاريخية-جدلية للتراث العربي-الإسلامي تتجاوز ثنائية التقديس والقطيعة. وتنطلق الدراسة من اعتبار التراث ليس رصيدًا نصيًا ثابتًا، بل مجالًا ديناميكيًا للصراع الفكري والاجتماعي المرتبط بشروطه التاريخية. ويهدف البحث إلى تحليل مفهوم التراث عند مروة، وبيان أسس منهجه التاريخي-المادي، وتقويم إسهاماته وحدوده في إعادة وصل الفكر بسياقه الاجتماعي، عبر مقارنته ببعض القراءات الغربية الحديثة. واعتمدت الدراسة المنهج التحليلي-النقدي والمقاربة السياقية المقارنة، لتُظهر أن قراءة مروة أعادت تعريف التراث بوصفه مجالًا حيًا للتفاعل والصراع، وكشفت عن توظيفاته الأيديولوجية، وأبرزت في الوقت نفسه إمكانات المنهج التاريخي-الجدلي وحدوده المفهومية في مقاربة قضايا الحاضر. This study explores the problem of reading heritage in contemporary Arab thought through an analysis of Hussein Merowe’s project, which approaches Arab–Islamic heritage from a historical-dialectical perspective that moves beyond sanctification and rupture. It proceeds from the view that heritage is not a fixed textual legacy, but a dynamic field of intellectual and social struggle shaped by its historical conditions. The study examines Merowe’s concept of heritage, outlines the foundations of his historical-materialist method, and critically assesses its contributions and limitations in reconnecting thought with its social context, in dialogue with selected modern Western approaches. Employing an analytical-critical and contextual comparative approach, the study demonstrates that Merowe’s reading redefined heritage as a living arena of interaction and conflict, exposed its ideological instrumentalizations, and highlighted both the analytical potential and the conceptual limits of the historical-dialectical method in addressing contemporary concerns
