The Role Of E-government In Protecting Individuals’ Personal Data

Abstract
E-government is concerned to bring administration closer to citizens, wherever they are. Therefore, some countries have enacted laws related to these procedures in order to enable their citizens to obtain documents online. However, the sovereignty of these countries may be compromised through this space, putting individuals' privacy at risk of cyber violation. Due to the importance of the issue, countries have developed legislative policies related to cybersecurity. Therefore, the competent international and national authorities have intervened to track violators of individuals' privacy in order to prevent and deter them, and this is done through technical and legal mechanisms, whether internationally or nationally
