Abstract Personalized medicine, or tailored medicine, is made possible by emerging technologies such as next-generation sequencing (NGS) and its applications, particularly liquid biopsy, where genetics and genomics play a leading role. Therefore, the integration of NGS in this field has become essential. Introducing NGS into quantitative PCR (qPCR) based molecular biology platforms represents a significant challenge in Algeria and many resource-limited countries. It requires adapting laboratory infrastructure and workflow design, quality management systems, personnel training, assay validation, data management, regulatory compliance, cost sustainability, and human resource adaptation. This article considers solutions to the challenges encountered during the installation of NGS in qPCR-based molecular biology platforms in resource-limited countries
