Auteurs : Haidra Djamila .

The article examines the impact of Algerian independence on the restoration of relations between France and the Arab countries of the Middle East. De Gaulle emerged from the wars with a new perception of the world based on cooperation, of which Algeria is an example. Therefore, we can speak of a contribution of cooperation between the two countries to rebuilding their network of international relations. We conclude that President De Gaulle wanted to rebuild foreign policy with the Arab countries of the Middle East on friendship and cooperation. This is evident in his position during the Six-Day War in 1967, which is summarized in the following three perspectives: French foreign policy was against Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories during this war, the qualification of the reaction of the Palestinian population to the actions of territorial occupation by the term "resistance" and the call for the two-state solution to end the conflict.
