This study highlights digitalization as a pivotal instrument for modernizing foreign trade and enhancing the performance of economic activities. It emphasizes the integration of information and communication technologies into commercial processes in Algeria, where digitalization has become a central component of state efforts to simplify procedures, reduce transaction processing times, and improve transparency in trade exchanges. Electronic systems have contributed to shipment tracking, the digital issuance of declarations and documentation, and the facilitation of communication among stakeholders across the supply chain, thereby strengthening the international competitiveness of Algerian enterprises. The study concludes that Algeria’s adoption of digital platforms in the field of foreign trade constitutes a key driver for improving economic performance and reinforcing the competitiveness of national operators in international markets. This orientation also reflects a clear political commitment to transitioning toward modern governance based on efficiency and transparency, as well as leveraging information and communication technologies as a strategic tool to support sustainable economic development.
