This research paper examines the amicable means of settling investment disputes in light of Law No. 22-13 bearing the Code of Civil and Administrative Procedures. It particularly focuses on conciliation and mediation, given their distinctive procedural characteristics and effects. Undoubtedly, the Algerian legislator has introduced both mechanisms in line with the notion of modernizing the justice sector, with the aim of resolving judicial disputes and terminating litigation before a final judgment is rendered. This approach is intended to alleviate the burden on judicial bodies. However, despite the significant role that mediation and conciliation play in resolving numerous disputes of various natures, including investment disputes, they also raise several legal issues, especially when it comes to the provisions relating to their nullity or annulment.
