Abstract: This study aims to affirm the pivotal position of language as the fundamental cognitive repository and the necessary foundation for the sustainability of civilizations and social integration. The research problem is defined by analyzing the mechanism of language acquisition in children and the factors influencing it, based on the vital role language plays in shaping individual cognition (or development) and achieving effective social interaction. The study adopted a descriptive methodology, through a review of relevant literature concerning the unique characteristics of human language and the process of linguistic socialization. The research concluded that language is a singular human property that supports creativity and introduces a qualitative transformation in the child's world. The findings also confirmed that the proper acquisition of this faculty demands concerted efforts, reliance on the child's latent innate capacities, and a focus on the most influential surrounding environmental factors, which must collectively work to stimulate linguistic reception to ensure correct linguistic socialization for the youth.
