The Organic And Functional Framework Governing The National Independent Election Authority In Algeria:

Abstract
This research paper studies the National Independent Election Authority, one of the most significant bodies established by the constitutional founder under the 2020 constitutional amendment. This amendment represents a radical shift in the structure of constitutional institutions, particularly with regard to the body responsible for managing electoral processes. This body is the main mechanism for protecting voters’ voices and embodies the requirements of integrity and transparency. We will therefore attempt to define the Authority’s status and legal nature, as well as highlighting the updates introduced by the constitutional founder and the substantive changes affecting its composition and membership conditions. Furthermore, we will outline the guarantees that affirm its independence and enable it to exercise its constitutional powers in line with current developments.
