The Role Of Associations And Counseling Centers In Enhancing Marital Stability And Reducing Early Divorce Among Young Couples And Newlyweds

Abstract
Abstract: Divorce is considered a social phenomenon that occurs as a result of the spouses’ failure to achieve compatibility and mutual understanding, leading to the destabilization and fragmentation of the family. This, in turn, leaves negative impacts on the structure of society and its social functions. Consequently, many countries around the world such as the United States, several Islamic countries like Malaysia, and Arab countries including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Jordan have adopted specialized premarital education programs. These programs have demonstrated varying degrees of positive outcomes, largely due to differences in cultural and social characteristics across the societies in which they were implemented. This article aims to explore the role of family associations and programs for counseling and family support in reducing early divorce, with a focus on global, regional, and Arab efforts in this field. It also highlights the challenges facing these efforts and future directions for enhancing their effectiveness. الملخص: يعتبر الطلاق ظاهرة اجتماعية تحدث نتيجة فشل الزوجين’ في تحقيق التوافق والتفاهم المتبادل، مما يؤدي إلى زعزعة استقرار الأسرة وتفتيتها. وهذا بدوره يترك آثاراً سلبية على بنية المجتمع ووظائفه الاجتماعية. ونتيجة لذلك، اعتمدت العديد من الدول حول العالم مثل الولايات المتحدة، والعديد من الدول الإسلامية مثل ماليزيا، والدول العربية بما في ذلك المملكة العربية السعودية والإمارات العربية المتحدة ومصر والأردن برامج تعليمية متخصصة قبل الزواج. وقد أظهرت هذه البرامج درجات متفاوتة من النتائج الإيجابية، ويرجع ذلك إلى حد كبير إلى الاختلافات في الخصائص الثقافية والاجتماعية عبر المجتمعات التي تم تنفيذها فيها. يهدف هذا المقال إلى استكشاف دور الجمعيات والبرامج الأسرية للإرشاد والدعم الأسري في الحد من الطلاق المبكر، مع التركيز على الجهود العالمية والإقليمية والعربية في هذا المجال. كما يسلط الضوء على التحديات التي تواجه هذه الجهود والتوجهات المستقبلية لتعزيز فعاليتها.
