Algeria's Agricultural Sector As A Means Of Achieving Economic Diversification In The Face Of Climate Change «case Study Guelma State»

Abstract
economic slowdown due to the volatility of oil prices in recent years. The Algerian government is trying to diversify its economy. Agriculture is seen as one of the key sectors on which Algeria relies to diversify its economy, achieve food security and reduce agricultural imports. However, this objective faces the challenges posed by climate change. This study attempts to assess the impact of climate change, such as average rainfall and average temperature, on the agricultural sector in Algeria by studying the water resources sector and the agricultural sector in Guelma State. The results indicate that climate change is a major obstacle to Algeria's efforts to diversify its economy through the agricultural sector.
