Dynamic Analysis Of The Relationship Between Renewable Energy And Environmental Sustainability In Algeria During The Period 2005-2020

Abstract
This study explores the relationship between renewable energy exploitation, represented by renewable energy production capacity, and environmental sustainability, represented by greenhouse gas emissions in Algeria, using the Vector Autoregression (VAR) model for the period from 2005 to 2020. The research aims to assess the impact of renewable energy exploitation on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, with a particular focus on statistical tests and model dynamics. The results indicate that greenhouse gas emissions are primarily influenced by their past values, while the relationship with renewable energy exploitation remains weak, as the findings show that renewable energy exploitation does not have a direct impact on greenhouse gas emissions in Algeria.
