Drug-related crimes are among the most dangerous offenses affecting societies, manifesting in various forms. With technological advancements and the emergence of digitization, a new type of drug has appeared, known as "digital drugs." These have spread alarmingly across the world and in some Arab countries. Digital drugs take the form of audio files or sound waves containing specific frequencies that influence brain activity. They are downloaded from the internet and marketed at low prices to attract a larger number of young people. This phenomenon arises in the absence of legislative provisions, both at the national level and in comparative legal systems.
