commercial banks, with a particular focus on Al Rajhi Bank as a practical case study. The study aims to assess the impact of effective governance practices on key financial indicators such as profitability, efficiency, and sustainability. It concludes that the successful implementation of governance mechanisms—such as active boards of directors, risk management committees, and transparent reporting—significantly contributes to improving financial performance indicators, including return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE). Effective governance also strengthens trust among customers and investors, contributing to a stable deposit base and enhancing the bank’s competitive position. The findings indicate that robust governance frameworks are essential for mitigating risks and ensuring long-term financial sustainability in the banking sector. Overall, Al Rajhi Bank serves as a prominent example of how strong governance practices can lead to superior financial outcomes, making it a model for other banks in the industry.
