الدُّكتور أحمد فرنسيس ودوره فيِ الحَركة الوطنية والثّورة الجزائرية (1910-1968)

الملخص
تزخر مدينة غليزان كغيرها من المدن الجزائرية العريقة؛ بكثير من الشخصيات التاريخية والوطنية التي لعبت دورا كبيرا في النضال السياسي والدبلوماسي ضد الاستعمار الفرنسي، ونحن بصدد البحث عن هذه الشخصيات يكون قد وقع اختيارنا على الدكتور أحمد فرنسيس، الذي تخلى عن وظيفته النبيلة والمقدسة كطبيب لمعالجة المرضى، لأنه رأى أنه لا جدوى من هذه الوظيفة وغيرها تحت سلطة المستعمر الفرنسي، فانتقل إلى الكفاح السياسي والدبلوماسي؛ وأبلى بلاء حسنا في سبيل هذه الغاية. ولذلك جاء مقالنا هذا للتعريف بهذه الشخصية، وإبراز دورها الرئيسي في الحركة الوطنية والثورة الجزائرية، وإعادة الاعتبار له على غرار أقرانه المناضلين، الذين لم يرتق بعضهم إلى المرتبة التي حازها فرنسيس، لكنهم نالوا شهرة واسعة وحظوا بكتابات أكاديمية كثيرة؛ أما الإشكالية المطروحة في هذا المقال، فهي تكمن في أن أحمد فرنسيس وهو خريج المدرسة الفرنسية لم يتأثر بها؛ بقدر ما استغلها كوسيلة للنضال السياسي والتحرري، بل كان رجلا زاهدا في حياته اليومية، وفي المناصب الإدارية؛ التي كانت محل صراع وتنافس بعد الاستقلال. بناء على المادة العلمية التي استقينا منها معلوماتنا نكون قد توصلنا إلى جملة من النتائج والحقائق؛ من أبرزها أن الدكتور أحمد فرنسيس قامة جزائرية لها وزنها في النضال التحرري، في شقه الدبلوماسي والسياسي؛ فأحمد فرنسيس يستحق أن يُعرّف بأنه رجل الدبلوماسية الجزائرية بامتياز؛ لأنه أقلب الطاولة بذكائه على المستعمر الفرنسي وانتصر عليه في معركة المفاوضات التي انتهت بحق تقرير مصير الشعب الجزائري. Like other ancient Algerian cities, the city of Relizane is replete with many historical and national figures who played a major role in the political and diplomatic struggle against French colonialism. In our search for these figures, we have chosen Dr. Ahmed Francis, who abandoned his noble and sacred profession as a physician treating patients because he saw no benefit in this and other occupations under the authority of the French colonizer. He turned to political and diplomatic struggle, and performed admirably in this regard. Therefore, this article aims to introduce this figure, highlight his pivotal role in the national movement and the Algerian revolution, and restore his reputation, along with that of his fellow activists. Some of them did not rise to the same level as Francis, but they achieved widespread fame and numerous academic publications. The problem posed in this article lies in the fact that Ahmed Francis, a graduate of the French school, was not influenced by it, but rather exploited it as a means of political and liberation struggle. He was an ascetic in his daily life and in administrative positions. Which was the subject of conflict and competition after independence Based on the scientific material from which we drew our information, wehave arrived at a number of conclusions and facts, the most prominent of which is that Dr. Ahmed Francis is an Algerian figure of considerable influence in the liberation struggle, both diplomatically and politically. Ahmed Francis deserves to be recognized as the Algerian diplomat par excellence, for he cleverly turned the tables on the French colonizer and defeated them in the battle of negotiations that resulted in the right to self-determination for the Algerian people .
