The digital transformation of the French healthcare system has relied for a decade on the deployment of the computerized patient record (CPR) in hospital establishments and the Shared Medical Record, integrated since 2022 into "My Health Space." This article analyzes, using a documentary and analytical approach, the state of digitization, its effects on care coordination and efficiency, as well as the persistent challenges, particularly those related to interoperability, governance, and the role of health insurance in data integration. The study shows that digitization is a lever for improving clinical quality, but that the gains heavily depend on the degree of technical and organizational integration of information systems.
