Abstract
Abstract: This study explores the personal traits of Colonel Mohamed Chaabani as portrayed by Mujahid Mohamed Jeghaba in Dialogue with the Self and with Others. To ensure the credibility of this testimony, the research first outlines Jeghaba’s life and militant career, then highlights the book’s value as a primary source for the history of the Algerian Revolution, before turning to Chaabani’s biography. The analysis emphasizes Chaabani’s personal qualities as reflected in Jeghaba’s accounts, which offer a deep understanding of his character through detailed narratives. These testimonies reveal key traits courage, firmness, wisdom, commitment to national principles, and a strong sense of responsibility that defined Chaabani’s leadership and enabled him to command the Sixth Wilaya. The study concludes that Chaabani embodied the values of the Liberation Revolution, standing as a devoted national figure, a model of youthful militancy, and an enduring example for his contemporaries.
