The study aimed to identify the impact of mental skills training, specifically mental visualization, on improving the performance of volleyball players in serving and receiving skills. The study employed an experimental design with control and experimental groups. The research sample consisted of 12 volleyball players per group (under 15 years category). The experimental group received additional mental visualization training related to the fundamental skills under study (serving and receiving). The results showed that mental training, in general, aids in learning motor skills and improving player performance. It was also found that mental visualization training positively affects the learning of the studied basic skills (serving and receiving). The study recommended emphasizing the use of mental visualization with skill instruction to accelerate motor learning.
