This study centers on the "Responsibility to Protect" (R2P) as a contemporary prin ق2ciple formulated to address the fundamental challenge of reconciling national sovereignty with intervention under the justification of right of protection human rights. It explores the change in the responsibility of this protective duty from individual states towards the global community, acting through the UN to safeguard populations from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing, and crimes against humanity. Nevertheless, states do not easily waive principles enshrined in the UN Charter, such as sovereignty, non-intervention in internal affairs, and the ban on the use of power in international relationships. Consequently, it is relevant to investigate how a balance is hit in the intervention equation and to limit the procedure phase for its application
