Space is a fundamental structural component of narrative fiction, extending beyond its geographical confines to become an operative concept laden with profound symbolic and ideological meanings. The novelist transforms space into a dynamic entity that enriches the narrative’s depth and amplifies its impact on the reader through descriptive construction and imaginative language. This study examines L’Étranger by Albert Camus, highlighting the key spatial settings within the novel and analyzing their symbolic and implicit meanings.
