Abstract
ABSTRACT:This study aims to shed light on the UAE experience in water resources management, as the UAE is one of the countries that face the issue of freshwater shortage and scarcity due to its location in the hottest climate zone and the lowest rainfall in the world, where the average amount of rainfall throughout the year does not exceed 4 mm. With the rapid population growth, the increase in the volume of economic activities and the trend towards achieving social welfare, the UAE has implemented a number of important policies, strategies and initiatives in the field of rationalising water consumption and ensuring its sustainability.
