Analysis Of The Evolution Of Cargo Handling And Discharge At The Djendjen Port (2014-2024)

Abstract
This research aims to study the evolution of cargo handling and discharge operations at the Djendjen Port during the period 2014–2024, considering it one of Algeria's strategic ports of increasing importance in supporting foreign trade and strengthening national supply chains. The significance of this research lies in providing an analytical perspective on the port's performance amidst regional and international economic changes, with a focus on loading and unloading indicators, and the composition of handled cargo. Expected findings indicate that the port, despite circumstantial challenges noted in 2024, is progressing towards achieving higher operational efficiency owing to technological developments, continuous training, and ongoing expansion projects. It is also anticipated that the port will enhance its position as a competitive logistics hub in North Africa.
