The aim of this study is to examine the role of social media in the marketing of local desert products, as these platforms significantly impact various social and economic aspects. Given their importance, social media platforms contribute to marketing, promotion, improving income, and creating numerous job opportunities. To explore this relationship, we raised the question: How do social media platforms facilitate the visibility of the marketing process for local desert products among women in Adrar? Based on this, we conducted a field study using a purposive sample of a group of 50 female artisans from the region. The descriptive approach was employed, relying on interviews and electronic survey forms. Our findings reveal that the growing engagement of female artisans with social media is due to their support for platforms that promote local products. These platforms have increasingly become essential alternatives to traditional markets.
