The Impact Of Macroeconomic Variables On Price Stability In Algeria During The Period 2000-2023

Abstract
ملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة لاستكشاف مدى تأثير المتغيرات الاقتصادية ( عرض النقد، سعر الصرف، معدل الفائدة، ميزان المدفوعات، الناتج المحلي الإجمالي، الانفاق الحكومي، سعر النفط ) على المستوى العام للأسعار ( مؤشر أسعار المستهلك ) وذلك لتوفير فهم شامل للعوامل المؤثرة في استقرار الأسعار، حيث توصلت إلى أن عرض النقد و سعر الصرف الفعلي و ميزان المدفوعات ومعدل الفائدة لها أثر ذو دلالة إحصائية وباتجاهات متباينة تجاه المستوى العام للأسعار، بينما لم تظهر أسعار النفط و سعر الصرف الحقيقي و الناتج المحلي الإجمالي أثر على مؤشر الأسعار خلال فترة الدراسة، كما جاء تأثير الانفاق الحكومي محدودا وغير مباشر. A B S T R A C T This study aimed to explore the extent of the impact of economic variables (money supply, exchange rate, interest rate, balance of payments, gross domestic product, government expenditure, oil price) on the general price level (consumer price index), in order to provide a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing price stability. The study concluded that money supply, the effective exchange rate, the balance of payments, and the interest rate have a statistically significant impact, with varying directions, on the general price level. In contrast, oil prices, the real exchange rate, and gross domestic product showed no effect on the price index during the study period, while the impact of government expenditure was limited and indirect
