Teaching Mathematics To Children تعليم الرياضيات للأطفال

الملخص
The present study aims to examine a teaching method designed to enhance children’s acquisition of mathematical concepts, taking into account their developmental nature and individual characteristics. The study adopted the quasi-experimental method, involving a sample of 9 first-grade pupils, both an observation grid and interviews for data collection. The instructional sessions were based on play activities using concrete materials. The findings indicate that incorporating play with concrete materials in mathematics instruction for children increases their motivation and engagement, and leads to improved achievement in the acquisition of mathematical concepts. تهدف الدّراسة الحالية إلى تسليط الضّوء على أسلوبٍ تعليمي يساهم في تحسين مستوى اكتساب الأطفال للمفاهيم الرياضياتية من خلال مراعاة طبيعتهم وخصوصياتهم النمائية، حيث تم اعتماد المنهج شبه التجريبي، و عيّنةٍ مكوَّنة من 9 تلاميذ في السنة أولى ابتدائي، و استخدام شبكة ملاحظة، و مقابلة نصف موجّهة أداتَين لجمع المعلومات، و حصص تعليمية قائمة على اللّعب بوسائل محسوسة. خلُصت النتائج إلى أنّ استخدام اللّعب بوسائل محسوسة في تعليم الرياضيات للأطفال يزيد من دافعيتهم للنشاط و التركيز فيه، و يحسّن من مستوى تحصيلهم للمفاهيم الرياضياتية.
