Abortion In Algeria: Treatment And Crime

Abstract
Abortion is subject to the monitoring and supervision of specialists, according to various legal texts in the health and legal field, in order to ensure the desired result of saving the mother’s life. Other than that, it is a crime that can be subject to the harshest penalties set by the Algerian legislator. However, this remains hostage to the increasing number of abortions due to medical necessity, which necessitates updating the texts that deal with the process between necessity and criminalization.
