The Right Of Crime Victims To Immediate Prosecution In Algeria: A Comparative Study

Abstract
While the power to initiate public prosecution rests primarily with the Public Prosecution, the Algerian legislature has recognised some exceptions: The first is the victim's right to initiate public prosecution. It has been debated whether this right applies to all types of crimes, felonies and misdemeanours, or whether it is limited to two specific areas, especially violations of public right: Some extend the scope of this right to include the crime of failure to execute a judicial ruling, while others extend it to misdemeanours and felonies. Others extend it to all types of offences
