Abstract

This research examines journalists' attitudes towards adhering to professional standards in Gulf electronic journalism while also exploring the factors that influence their professional performance. This study aims to explore how journalists perceive and apply ethical and technical standards in their digital reporting. The present study aims to examine the extent to which electronic journalists adhere to ethical guidelines and technical standards, garner public trust, and navigate the evolving obligations of journalists in the digital sphere. Using a survey methodology, information was collected via the distribution of a structured questionnaire to individuals from various Gulf media agencies. Key findings highlight the notable discrepancies in the implementation of professional standards, particularly in the domains identified as the most significant obstacles to their implementation. The research advocates for a renewed commitment to ethics and professional standards in electronic journalism, emphasizing the importance of seeking the truth and maintaining accuracy in the dissemination of information.
