The current study tries to explore the integration of transliterated and romanised Arabic in multilingual online communication by Facebook users in Algeria. The article tackles the users’ experiences and feedback, gauging their satisfaction with the scripts. The article also highlights the reasons, impacts and the expected future of adapting these scripts. Both quantitative and qualitative analyses were selected for this research. The findings showed different views towards this lingistic practice ; while many respondents view these tools as useful and identity‑affirming, others argue that they undermine language integrity and reinforce poor spelling habits.
