The contribution of international organizations to promoting the transfer of marine renewable energy technologies to developing countries in their Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs) is an indispensable aspect in moving forward with sustainable energy solutions around the world. This analyzes the role of two major organizations, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), in driving sustainable energy in these countries. It investigates legal frameworks and institutional mechanisms developed by these organizations to support the effective deployment of marine renewable energy technologies, with particular attention to the challenges and opportunities faced by developing countries. By looking at both practical and legal aspects of these projects, the paper determines central hurdles and proposes solutions to enhance the effectiveness of international cooperation in this field. Based on the study, cooperative multi-organizational action backed by strong legal frameworks is vital to ensuring long-term progress in transferring marine renewable energy solutions.
