Environmental Media As A Mechanism For Realizing Preventive Environmental Protection Within The Framework Of Sustainable Development

Abstract
Abstract: The environment stands out as one of the most pressing transitional issues, with its security being necessary for fulfilling peace, national security, and human rights. Environmental security is a fundamental pillar of national security, reflecting the dynamic and interdependent relationship between natural resources and a state's socio-economic structure, thus enhancing local and regional stability. The need for a regulatory strategy has become evident amid growing restrictions in arid and semi-arid regions, along with signs of changing production patterns, drought, and reduced rainfall. This is further compounded by the unintended expansion of new lands at the expense of forests, tree cover, and pastoral lands, all in an effort to provide livelihoods and meet essential needs. A consensus has emerged that achieving effective environmental media sought at preserving natural and human resources requires conserving several environmental processes and protecting essential ecosystems. These include maintaining air and water quality, safeguarding forests and wildlife, conserving vegetation cover, and ensuring biodiversity.
