الملخص
لا يزال تاريخ العلاقات الدولية للجزائر خلال الحقبة العثمانية جديرًا بالبحث وإعادة الكتابة من وجهة نظر العلاقات بين البلدين. ولعل العلاقات الجزائرية-الإنجليزية ليست موصولةً ولم يتم تناولها من قبل الباحثين إلا بطرق سطحية وجزئية، ومن خلال هذه الورقة أردت أن أتحدث عن تطور مراحل العلاقة بين البلدين وما يسيطر عليها من توازن في السلام والحرب، وهذا ما يدرسه إن إعادة قراءة مجموعة من الأبحاث الفرنسية لها خلفيات معينة تمكنت من تحديدها، وهذا موضوع تناقشه أطروحة الدكتوراه في يد الباحثين والطلاب في المستقبل.
