The Role Of International Reservations And Islamic Commercial On Social Finance To Support Sustainable Growth In Iraq

Authors : Almashaal Jaafar .

Abstract

The integration of Islamic commercial and social finance in Iraq is crucial for economic expansion and sustainable development. Practically and economically, Islamic financing covers commercial and social areas (for instance, awqaf or waqf, zakat, qard-hasan, sadaqat and microfinance). The two are integrated and overlapped. Integrating social and commercial finances has several benefits, such as improving socioeconomic well-being, reducing poverty, and promoting comprehensive financial inclusion. Additionally, it contributes to enhancing the stability of the economic system. This study aimed to address the lack of ideas and concepts to avoid conflict with international reservations, achieve the integration of Islamic commercial and social finance that aligns with the structural environment of Islamic financial institutions and comply with the existing laws and regulations in Iraq. The study also aimed to promote inclusive growth.
