Lexical collocation is a universal linguistic phenomenon present in all languages. This study explores the phenomenon in the Arabic language by examining its presence in the Dictionary of Synonyms and Homonyms by Father Raphael Nakhla, a Jesuit scholar. The study defines lexical collocation, outlines its types, and analyzes examples from the dictionary to identify its manifestations and patterns. It utilizes descriptive methodology to observe and classify the phenomenon and employs analytical tools to examine selected examples. The study concludes that lexical collocation is a prominent feature within the lexicon, appearing in two forms: conventional collocations commonly used by the general public, and unconventional collocations predominantly used by distinguished literati, particularly in terms of semantics. Structurally, collocations manifest in two forms: nominal compounds and verbal compounds.
