الملخص
يهدف هذا البحث إلى محاولة إبراز مشاركة ومساهمة أسلافنا في بناء الفكر البشري من خلال التعريف بشخصية القديس "أوبتا الميلي" وكذا نفض الغبار على مرحلة تاريخية هامة من تاريخ شمال إفريقيا وبالخصوص نوميديا ، معتمدين في ذلك على المنهجين، المنهج التاريخي الوصفي والمنهج التاريخي التحليلي، وبالاستعانة بنصوص مؤلف القديس أويتا الميلي مع التطرق إلى مصادر ومراجع آخر متخصصة لمناقشة جذور الانشقاق الكنسي الدوناتي والاطلاع على مواقف القديس أوبتا الميلي فيما يتعلق بنفي مسؤولية الدولة في اضطهاد الدوناتيين بعد مرسوم "الوحدة "، عن وحدة وعالمية الكنيسة الكاثوليكية وأيضا المعمودية واستنتجنا في الأخير أن القديس أوبتا يعتبر من أشهر أعلام الفكر الديني المسيحي ترك أثر كبير في مفكرين كثيرين أهمهم القديس أمبراوز والقديس أوغسطين This research aims to an attempt to highlight the contribution of our ancestors in the construction of human thought by introducing the figure of Saint Optatus of Milevis , dusting off an important historical stage in the history of North Africa in particular Numidia and by using two method the descriptive historical and the analytical historical method. By applying the texts of the author of the book of Saint Optatus with reference to other specialised sources and references. To discuss the roots of the Donatist ecclesiastical schism, the positions of Saint Optatus regarding the denial of state responsibility for the persecution of the Donatists after the "Unity" decree, the unity and universality of the Catholic Church and baptism. Finally concluded that Saint Optatus considered one of the most famous figures of Christian religious thought and left a great impact on many thinkers, most importantly Saint Ambrose and Saint Augustine.
