Abstract
Abstract: One of the most distinctive features of the Algerian narrative text is its semantic plurality at the level of an implicit, non-tangible meaning that does not appear directly but rather through signs and clues that determine the intended meaning. Meaning is inherent in the discourse itself or in its embedded expression. Thus, no utterance escapes its original meaning or its secondary meaning, which is realized according to the context and the relationship between the speaker and the recipient. This multiplicity of meanings has led modern literary studies to adopt a pragmatic perspective on reading by describing the functions of constructing and deconstructing the creative text, which reading guarantees as an essential and effective condition for uncovering its meanings. This study explores the issues and complexities of meaning multiplicity in the Algerian narrative text for various reasons.
