الملخص
This research paper sheds light on the terms’ generalization use in the Arab world and especially translated terms from English into Arabic. It is based specifically on the translation of financial terms and the problem of standardization in the Arab world. Actually financial and banking terms are used and translated differently within the same nation or among the Arab countries, which creates, at times, ambiguity, synonymy, polysemy and borrowing. Purposefully, the empirical part focuses primarily on the choice of terms in Arabic with no neglect of the foreign ones. It examines how to respect the rule of terminology science which insists on the unification of terms in the same language. The study reveals the necessity to unify the use financial and banking terms in the Arab countries on the one hand, and to urge spreading Arab terms.
