Abstract : This study aims to explore the relationship between the novel and history by shedding light on a group of Algerian novels that rely on historical references in their structure, particularly since the emergence of the Algerian novel which was a response to the social and historical circumstances that Algeria went through. Therefore, our analysis was based on some of Algerian novels with the intention of identifying the methods and mechanisms through which history was integrated and to uncover the connections between the imaginary (the novel) and the real (history). The study reached several research findings, the most important of these findings is the openness of Algerian novel to experimental spaces, which has become a major concern for Algerian novelists, through working with new narrative forms, including employing history according to different mechanisms. This is clearly evident in Algerian literary works such as “Elaz," “Elzilzal”, Elamir” ", and " Ediwan Elisbarti” …...ect
