This study, entitled "The Deconstructive Method in Philosophy and Its Applications in the Arab-Islamic Heritage: Mohamed Arkoun as a Model," aims to reveal the fact that the deconstructive method, based on critique and deconstruction of concepts and the structures that form phenomena, which was pioneered by Jacques Derrida as a method for study and research in the field of human and social sciences, has been practically applied in the study of Arab-Islamic heritage by Mohamed Arkoun. The purpose was to uncover the weaknesses, contradictions, and flaws surrounding this heritage in order to rescue it from its backwardness and work towards its renewal. Arkoun aimed to build upon this heritage and use it as a foundation for achieving the renaissance of the Arab and Islamic world. Therefore, Mohamed Arkoun is considered the first thinker to apply Western methodologies (such as the deconstructive method) to the study of heritage.
