Intermediate Education Teachers' Perceptions Of The Profession According To Teaching By Approach To Competences

Authors : Nadjia Benlamri .

Abstract

The state has focused on the field of education as a major investment to achieve progress and prosperity among countries. For this reason, a set of radical modifications and reforms have been implemented in its educational system. These adjustments began by moving from a focus on content to a focus on objectives, and finally to a focus on competencies. Despite this, a state of ambiguity has persisted since the introduction of these reforms into the educational system, because the teacher, who is considered the focus of the educational process, has not been placed among the system’s priorities. This is linked to a number of factors, including the level of training of teachers and its impact on their perception of their profession, especially with a gap between professors that varies depending on the region and the availability of capabilities and resources, which may lead to differences in educational vision. In addition, there are concerns associated with how these reforms in education will be implemented.
