This study examines the impact of social media promotion on the behavioral responses of foreign tourists toward Algeria as an emerging tourist destination. Grounded in a conceptual framework integrating three key dimensions of social media promotion—social media advertising, digital sales promotions, and digital public relations—the research adopts a quantitative approach, utilizing a structured questionnaire administered to a convenience sample of 127 foreign tourists who visited Algeria up to 2024. Statistical analysis confirmed a significant positive influence of all three dimensions on tourists’ behavioral responses, underscoring the critical role of social media in shaping destination attractiveness and decision-making. The findings advocate for strategic enhancements in Algeria’s digital tourism marketing, including interactive storytelling, high-quality visual content, and partnerships with influencers, to amplify its competitiveness in global tourism markets.
